Facing a $42 billion deficit and a state debt that grows by $28,000 every minute, California has managed to find enough room in its budget to sponsor an elaborate statewide campaign to promote homosexual adoption.
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation has partnered with the California Department of Soecial Services and the Los Angeles County to promote a "Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Family" campaign that invites homosexuals, bisexuals and transsexuals to adopt children.
According to a Campaign for Children and Families report, the state has sponsored two billboards promoting "gay" adoption in West Hollywood and Alameda County.

Randy Thomasson, president of Campaign for Children and Families, a California pro-family organization, released a statement saying the state has no business sponsoring the campaign when it has decided to issue taxpayers IOUs in place of their annual returns.
"At a time when the state doesn't have enough money to provide hard-working people with their tax refunds, it's a shame that state and county funds are being wasted on this propaganda," he said.

The LGBT activists are like termites: you plug up one crack in the foundation and they turn and find another to get in and eat at the foundation. If they can get the public to accept the idea of gay adoption, then it makes it that much harder to protect marriage and the family.
ReplyDeleteMainTour, do you know where I can find information about these other campaigns? I would love to help raise awareness about them!

Hi MainTour - my feeling is that the best way to influence public opinion is to first educate the people we worship with at church, and equip them to discuss the subject with their friends, family, and co-workers when the topic arises in conversation, as it increasingly will.
There are many people in our churches who don't understand the importance of maintaining the definition of marriage and not downgrading it any further. The first step is to consolidate our base. When people see and hear that we are solid in our position, and can articulate WHY, then others within our circles of friends and acquaintances will gravitate toward believing in and supporting traditional marriage, for all the many reasons there are to do so, starting with God's will but also including reasons anybody of good will of any religious persuasion can understand, such as societal survival, common sense, and the well-being of children.
Maybe we need our own billboard campaign!
